Yoga@Great Lawn

Tuesday, June 22, 2010... 12,500 yogis gathered in Central Park on Summer Solstice.

On Monday, I headed down to NYC to assistant teach at Yoga @ Great Lawn, an event produced by Flavorpill and sponsored by JetBlue. 

Rain fell hard once we were all situated though the 10 minutes of yoga we did as a group made my journey all worth it.  I love Dharma Mittra (see 2nd image Left) and Elana Brower is great, the head teacher at this event.

Knowing that a yoga event of this magnitude is possible inspires me.  As the co-event producer for Liberate and BYC, I'm honored to have gotten an inside perspective. I learned a lot, had fun, and truly felt the power of yoga. 

Having my fellow teachers Patrick McAndrew and Margaret Dunn-Carver there with me from evolution yoga, as well as my dear friend Lisa Giordano, made the experience feel like home....

Through our yoga, we are always home!
